Alexander has studied classical piano since the age of six.

As of 2016, Alexander has taken a hiatus from public performance in order to better fulfill his commitment as a full-time college student. However, he still enjoys his Yahama C7 in between his studies.

Rachmaninoff Prelude in D Major, Op. 23, No. 4.
This project served as a “live” Christmas Card, 2020. Timelapse footage captured November and December, 2020, with a Sony A7 III.

Alexander plays Rachmaninoff's Prelude in B minor, Op. 32 No. 10, opening for St. Timothy's 2015 Christmas concert.

Rachmaninoff

Born April 1st, 1873, Sergei Rachmaninoff was a Russian virtuoso pianist, composer, and conductor. His compositions have been renowned for their difficulty and beauty, always building to a singular defining point. Rachmaninoff's Prelude in B minor, Op. 32 No. 10, encapsulates the essence of Rachmaninoff's musical philosophy.

Alexander plays Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu in C# minor, Opus. 66 at St. Timothy's 2015 Christmas Concert.

Chopin

Often deemed the Romantic virtuosic pianist and composer, Fredrick Chopin was born 17th of October, 1849, in Warsaw Poland. With a "professional technique that was without equal in his generation," Chopin became a Classical Romantic-era icon, both through his public performance and his numerous, popular piano compositions.

Alexander plays Reverie by Claude Debussy at St. Timothy's 2015 Easter concert.

Debussy

A figurehead of the Classical Impressionist movement, Achille-Claude Debussy was born August 22nd, 1862, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France. Debussy pioneered non-traditional scales to form impressionistic tonalities which mirror the visual movement of the same name. Each of the pieces bleeds with a unique auditory color.  To me, Reverie bursts with deep cobalt blues.
